The Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) add-on gives you access to 49 CFR Parts 171 through 180 — the federal rules governing the transportation of hazardous materials. This is an optional add-on for accounts that handle hazmat shipments.
How to enable
- Tap your avatar in the top-right corner and select Account.
- Scroll to the Hazmat Regulations (HMR) section.
- Tap Add Hazmat Access.
- Confirm the add-on. Billing begins immediately (or is included in your trial if you are still within the 14-day trial period).
After enabling the HMR add-on, you may need to log out and log back in for the new content to appear in the Table of Contents.
Pricing
- Monthly: $5 per month, added to your existing subscription.
- Annual: $50 per year.
- During your free trial: The HMR add-on is free to try. Billing starts when your trial ends.
What is included
- Full text of 49 CFR Parts 171 through 180.
- PHMSA Letters of Interpretation mapped to each HMR section in the Insights panel (under the Guidance tab).
- All the same features as FMCSRs: highlights, notes, bookmarks, version history, search, and change notifications.
- The Hazardous Materials Table (§ 172.101) with expand functionality for easy reference.
Switching between FMCSRs and HMRs
Once the add-on is enabled, a pill toggle appears at the top of the Table of Contents sidebar. Tap FMCSR or HMR to switch between the two regulation sets. All your annotations and bookmarks are kept separate per regulation set.
